An homage to the prison comedy series Porridge, created by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. This documentary examines how Ronnie Barker’s Fletch influenced Slade Prison’s characters. There is also a look at 1978’s Going Straight, Porridge: The Movie, the US remake On the Rocks, and the 2017 reboot starring Kevin Bishop and Ricky Grover.

While still writing for Skelton, Cason had a few other on air adventures at KNXT including the five minute 'Carson's Coffee Break'. Carson had invited Red as a guest for several weeks in a row, and Red came, but was never allowed to speak as they always ran out of time. Finally, Skelton tied Johnny up and took over. There used to be a standard practice in the TV industry, for a Non-Speaking talent, anyone who appeared but did not speak. They were paid far less than scale which was mandated for anyone appearing on TV having lines. Johnny convinced ButterNut he could get Red on the show as a regular, however by not allowing Red to say any lines. Thus he did not have to pay Red very much money and ButterNut sponsored Johnny's Show, agreeing that Red was going to appear.

Mine owner William Sharon keeps having his gold shipments held up by a gang of bandits. Sharon hires banker Charles Crocker, who happens to have connections in the Central Pacific Railroad, to build a spur line from Virginia City to Carson City, so that the gold can be shipped by railroad. Silent Jeff Kincaid is the railroad engineer. However there is opposition to the railroad, chiefly from another mine owner, Big Jack Davis.

Play set in Northern Ireland about Carson and the setting up of the Stormont Government of 1918-1920, after strong protests by the Northern Irish Protestants against Home Rule and separation from Great Britain.
